Spiritual Liaison For CARITAS For Children, Inc.

CARITAS is a 501 (C) (3) charitable organization that provides financial assistance for the health, education and general welfare of orphaned and disadvantaged children through the services provided through Catholic religious communities. CARITAS is working with several religious communities whose members and services for children are located in many countries throughout the world.

CARITAS develops resources and provides assistance in creating and identifying the tools and communications needed for its partners to build each program to carry out the work in the field where the children and families being served live. It starts by identifying the local needs in which each program exists. Almost all the work in the field is conducted, organized and / or managed by communities of recognized Catholic men and women religious.

CARITAS is seeking a Catholic priest in good standing; He would provide spiritual leadership to the organization, rooted in Catholic social teaching on the dignity of the human person and the Gospel mandate to “love one another”. In addition to the role of spiritual animation, he would be charged with communicating the message of CARITAS at different levels in Church and society, seeing it as a platform for his own evangelization.

Qualifications: The candidate should be an experienced priest who is well grounded in Church teachings and motivated to expand the vision and growth of the organization. He should possess good interpersonal skills and be a strong communicator. In addition, basic computer knowledge for email communication is important. Foreign language skills could prove valuable but is not necessary. He should have reasonably good health, ability to travel and to relate to different cultures in the developing world.
