An Introduction to CARITAS For Children
| CARITAS FOR CHILDREN provides financial assistance for the health, education and general welfare of orphaned and disadvantaged children. In partnership with Catholic religious communities throughout the world, CARITAS brings a future and a hope to children who have been born into a cycle of extreme poverty. Help Where Help is Needed Most Even today, in the 21st Century, there are millions of orphaned, abandoned and impoverished children living without food, without education and without hope. Most of these children can not be adopted, but they should not be forgotten. Through Child Sponsorships, CARITAS brings these children the resources needed to live a life of dignity and purpose. Working with Catholic Religious Orders in foreign lands, CARITAS For Children is able to develop programs in the field, where the poorest children and families live. Working with partners indigenous to the Program locale allows us to identify the most pressing needs of the children and families CARITAS serves. Almost all the work in the field is conducted, organized or managed by congregations of recognized Catholic men and women religious. |
